LET ME FLY
by Yadi

Picture Book
32 pages
ages 4 to 8
With the help of his father,
7-year-old Matthew acquires a parrot, which he names “Lou.” Before long,
Matthew teaches Lou how to talk and they establish a great friendship. But when
Lou asks to fly away, Matthew must learn how to let go.
An owner of a parrot himself,
Yadi was both enthralled and inspired upon watching his then 4-year-old nephew
interact with the bird. Given his nephew’s speech delay, Yadi couldn’t help but
imagine what the conversation between the young child and bird may have been
like if both could talk.
A warm-hearted story sure to
put a smile on the face of every reader, Let
Me Fly is a beautifully illustrated piece of art that will tickle the fancy
of child and adult alike.
